Landscape outing to shoot the heather around Stanage Edge, led by BPC member Roy Hutchinson. Meet at 6pm. Details to follow.
Show your images in the follow-up meeting on September 16th.



Monday September 2nd

Ashley Franklin: "The Derwent Valley: The Story of a Photobook."
Ashley tells the story of how he assembled the first ever photo book to celebrate the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, published in November 2023. He explains how his book encapsulates the valley's historical significance, its communities and its rich biodiversity.
Look forward to expert story-telling and superb images. Not to be missed.



Monday 16th September

Follow-up to the heather landscape session of August 19th, where we will view and discuss the images taken then. ALSO bring along your 'SUMMER IMAGES' taken since we ended last season in April. This will enable those not able to do the heather shoot to take an active part in proceedings.



SATURDAY September 28th.

Southwell Day: Options available are the Show, the Architecture of the town & Cathedral, and the Ploughing Match.

Tim Reynolds: "Making an Impression". Long-time BPC Club member Tim will be guiding us towards making Impressionist and Abstract images, with examples and techniques such as Intentional Camera Movement (ICM).



Monday January 20th

Richard Gosney: "The Abraham Brothers" - explore the work of two Victorian photographers and pioneers of the sport of Rock Climbing in the Peak District.
Richard is our own very versatile BPC member.

Theme Competition - Architecture. Judge Phil Peat.

Monday February 17th

"Bakewell on the Day". The idea is to take pictures of any aspect of town life such as transport, buildings, cattle market etc during the day, and then show them at the meeting in the evening.
